Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 6, 2026
Drivio (“we”, “us”) sells automotive technology and accessories online. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We only collect what we actually need to run the store.
1. Who we are
Drivio is an online retailer based in Minnesota, United States. For any privacy question or request, email hello@driviostore.com. We are the controller of the personal information described here. Our online store is hosted and our orders are processed by Shopify Inc., which acts as our service provider.
2. Information we collect
- Order information — name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone number (if given) and order contents. Collected and stored by Shopify when you check out.
- Payment information — card and wallet details are entered on Shopify’s secure checkout and handled by Shopify Payments and its payment processors. Drivio never sees or stores full card numbers.
- Contact and support messages — the name, email and message you choose to send us via the contact form (which opens your own email client) or our support chat.
- Newsletter email — only if you opt in.
- Device and usage data — limited technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, generated automatically when you load the site and used for security, fraud prevention and basic diagnostics.
- Local browser storage — your cart contents, saved email and cookie choice are stored in your browser, not on our servers.
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, and we do not collect special-category data (health, biometric, precise geolocation), nor do we sell personal information.
3. Why we use it
- To process, fulfil, ship and support your order (performance of a contract).
- To answer your questions and provide customer service (legitimate interests).
- To send marketing email where you have opted in (consent — withdraw any time).
- To prevent fraud, abuse and to keep the site secure (legitimate interests).
- To meet tax, accounting and consumer-law obligations (legal obligation).
4. Who we share it with
We share only what is necessary, with: Shopify (store hosting, checkout, order and customer records); payment processors used by Shopify Payments; shipping carriers and fulfilment partners (to deliver your order); our email provider (for order and, if you opted in, marketing email); and our AI support-chat provider, which processes the text of your chat messages to generate a reply. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our legal rights. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
5. International transfers
Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where information is transferred out of the UK, EEA or Switzerland, our providers rely on approved safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep it
Order records are retained for as long as needed to support the order and to meet tax and accounting obligations (generally up to 7 years). Support messages are kept up to 24 months. Marketing emails are kept until you unsubscribe. Data kept in your browser stays until you clear it.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port or restrict use of your personal information, to object to processing, to withdraw consent, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Residents of California (CCPA/CPRA), Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Minnesota and other US states with privacy laws, as well as residents of the UK, EEA and Canada, can exercise these rights by emailing hello@driviostore.com. We respond within the period required by your local law (generally 30–45 days) and may need to verify your identity. You may also appeal a refused request by replying to our decision, and EEA and UK residents may complain to their local supervisory authority.
8. Security
The site is served over HTTPS and checkout is PCI-DSS compliant through Shopify. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Cookies
See our Cookie Policy for what is stored on your device and how to change your choice.
10. Changes
We may update this policy; the “last updated” date above will change and material updates will be highlighted on this page.
